The month of August has been great for some cool free plugin deals. Here are eight of them, in no particular order.

EQ1979 BY BELLES ONDES

Q1979 is a stereo VST analog console strip emulation inspired by a famous British console module with red gain knob.

Features:

• An input saturation stage, which emulates a transformer based analog input amplifier with saturation ranging from smooth drive to asymetric clipping.

• A Filtering stage with low shelf, mid band, and high shelf inductor-based filter emulation which accurately emultes frequency response of original strip.

• A Third order highpass filter emulation.

UREQ BY ANALOG OBSESSION

U-Style stripped down classic equalizer

Normally, it has different features but while I model it in SPICE, I wanted to keep it simple. In my own design, I added all features but in plugin, only simulation.

This EQ has different Q values up to frequencies and gain. I want to show this feature.

Now, it's easy to use and fun to play!

Also, I've pushed input line amp with gain compensated input. So, you can get nice saturation from line amps and filter circuit.

FREE EQ CURVE ANALYZER BY BERTOM AUDIO

EQ Curve Analyzer is an analyzer and signal generator plugin to see the frequency response (magnitude and phase) of any plugin or hardware.

Insert the plugin you want to analyse between two instances of EQ Curve Analyzer, the first one set as a signal generator and the second one as an analyzer. Then adjust the latency if needed. That's it!

It is particularly useful as a learning tool to see what classic EQs emulations are doing for example. It also features a "group" system that allows you to compare two analyses in real-time on the same graph.
